I AM BUILDING ICHURCH Elizabeth Mellon My introduction to IChurch was through my daughter. She had been attending Switch and church services at New Life for probably 9 months when she suggested we support the new English services that were beginning in January 2014. I was immediately drawn to the commitment and passion to form a church that would be appealing to people from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds – especially those that had been hurt through past church experiences. We were small but you could feel that something big was beginning. We had services at 2 other temporary locations before we moved into our current location in January 2015. All during that time, God was bringing people into our congregations that were talented and passionate about serving Him as “all in” servants. Many helped with the transformation of a huge warehouse into our sanctuary, Ikids area & offices – from those who were skilled with painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and construction knowledge to those that brought meals, purchased snacks and swept floors. That August we celebrated “I Love my IChurch” for the first time. Now, here we are 4 years later, preparing to expand into the remaining space that this former warehouse has. We now have to use our overflow room for 2 of our 3 services each Sunday. Our growth has been miraculous and the stories of changed lives never cease to bring a sense of humbleness to my heart to be a part of this church. I love my IChurch for so many reasons and thank God for bringing me here.
